With a degree in fashion design, James Steward moved to Rome, Italy in 1998 to train with established fashion house Gattinoni Couture, where he learnt his skills in embroidery, surface decoration, pattern cutting and an approach to design that is clearly evident in his work today.
The partnership between Aqua Couture and James Steward has grown from strength to strength with the likes of Tara Palmer Tomkinson, Victoria Beckham and Nell McAndrew supporting his designs. Now alongside his ready-to-wear collections, James has added red carpet eveningwear and bridal dresses to his label, and can boast of a range of celebrity clients, from Kylie Minogue to Coronation Street and Emmerda.
With the imminent merging of the shop and the label, James will be offering a bespoke service exclusively to Aqua clients looking for that extra special outfit.
